The Chicago Bears defeated the New England Patriots 33-14 on Monday Night Football. Justin Fields went 13-for-21 for 179 passing yards, 82 rushing yards and two total touchdowns. With the NFL shift towards offensive coaches, one can question Fields’ growth under Matt Eberflus, who appeared to out coach Bill Belichick. Meanwhile, Mac Jones got the start behind center but was benched for Bailey Zappe after two three-and-outs and an interception. Zappe got the Patriots the 14-10 lead in the second quarter, but struggled afterwards, tossing two interceptions.
